Long Lane Farm

This year Phoebe made lots of three pound majolica bowls! (The weight is measured as wet clay, fired they are about ½ pound.) These bowls are the perfect combination of everyday utility and kitchen decoration. Phoebe likes them because people use them everyday for cereal or pasta or vegetables, but they can also be hung up on the mantel or the wall as decorative and colorful paintings.

Phoebe sees each piece as its own individual art object, so does not offer sets in the traditional sense. However, groupings of her work do look darn good together.

Phoebe works at a studio on Long Lane Farm, an aptly named and delightful retreat. Bella, the hand made wood fired kiln used by many of the CBA potters is also on the property.
